Rosewood Australian Labradoodles

Guardian Homes

Our Guardian Home program offers our breeding dogs wonderful loving lives and families a chance to have a healthy loving puppy/dog for years to come.

We are looking for families within a 50 mile radius of Rockford, Illinois who would like to add an Australian Labradoodle puppy to their lives for just the cost of a small deposit. The guardian puppy/dog will be part of your family forever, though the breeding rights will be retained by Rosewood Labradoodles. The amount of time your puppy/dog will be bred will be discussed on an individual basis as each puppy/dog and family is unique. When your puppy/dog has completed their breeding career we will have your dog spayed or neutered and the registration will be transferred to your name.

As a guardian home family you will be responsible for the routine veterinary care such as wellness checks, annual vaccines, and heartworm prevention. Along with the veterinary care you will be expected to socialize and train your puppy, along with providing regular exercise and a high quality diet (to be approved by Rosewood Labradoodles). All breeding related veterinary costs will be at the expense of Rosewood Labradoodles.

As a guardian family you will receive a puppy that has already received some genetic testing, which can be done as early as 16 weeks of age. The health testing will be completed by the time your puppy is one year old. These tests are paid for by Rosewood Labradoodles. Along with receiving a vibrant healthy puppy, your puppy will also possess the amazing temperament the Australian Labradoodle is so well known for. As a guardian family you will have the fun of seeing your dog's puppies and feeling like a part of our breeding program.

All dogs in our guardian program must live in the home. The family must have a flexible schedule as the puppy/dog must not be left unattended for long periods of time. We do require you have a fenced yard to provide a safe environment for your guardian puppy/dog. As a guardian family you will be expected to contact us immediately when an intact female begins her heat cycle. During this time the female must be available for necessary veterinary appointments and to be bred. The female will stay with the guardian family until approximately one week before the expected due date and stay with us until the puppies are weaned, which is normally
at 5 or 6 weeks of age.

Most guardian puppies/dogs will be female, but occasional males are available.

Please contact us with any questions you may have regarding our Guardian Home program and to learn what puppies we may have available.
